These Guidelines govern all gameplay on the Mineshore network. Staff retain full discretion to determine whether a given action, modification, or exploit violates the spirit of these Guidelines, even where it is not explicitly listed below.
1.1 The use, possession, or distribution of any cheat, hack, or unfair client-side modification is prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to:
1.2 As a general principle, any modification that allows a player to do something not achievable in an unmodified client, or that automates an action a player would otherwise perform manually, is most likely in violation of this section. If you are unsure whether a modification is permitted you should seek clarification from a staff member before using it; proceeding without clarification is done at your own risk.
1.3 Knowingly teaming with or directly benefiting from another player's use of cheats is treated the same as cheating, regardless of whether the benefiting player used any modification personally.
2.1 Usernames and skins must remain appropriate at all times and must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or sexually explicit content, consistent with the Community Guidelines.
2.2 Builds or structures that depict discriminatory, or explicit imagery including builds placed in claims are not permitted.
2.3 Books, signs, item names, and any other content must not contain content that would violate the Community Guidelines' communication rules.
3.1 Griefing a claim where you aren't trusted is strictly prohibited. This includes:
4.1 The following are prohibited in all circumstances:
5.1 Discovering a glitch or exploit does not grant you permission to use it. Any glitch capable of providing an unfair advantage must be reported to a staff member as soon as reasonably possible and must not be used or shared with other players.
5.2 Continued use of a known glitch after becoming aware of it, or after being instructed by staff to cease, is punishable.
6.1 Evading a punishment is a serious offence and may result in a network-wide blacklist.
6.2 Each account holder is solely responsible for all activity occurring on their account. Account sharing is strongly discouraged; where a rule violation occurs on a shared account, the resulting punishment will apply to the account regardless of who was in control of it at the time. Compromised accounts do not excuse a violation unless reported to staff promptly and prior to any related enforcement action.
Staff reserve the right to issue punishment for any conduct they determine to be harmful to the server or its community, and retain final say in all matters relating to these Guidelines.
These Guidelines govern conduct across the entirety of the Mineshore network, including but not limited to in-game chat, private messages, the Discord server, the forums, and any other official Mineshore platform. They also extend to conduct occurring outside of Mineshore's platforms where that conduct directly targets Mineshore, its staff, or its community members. Staff retain full discretion to act on conduct that violates the spirit of these Guidelines even where it is not explicitly listed below.
1.1 Threatening, attempting, facilitating or encouraging serious misconduct such as a DDoS attack, doxxing, swatting, or any other action intended to cause real-world harm against any person is strictly forbidden. This applies regardless of whether the threat is presented as a joke or "prank," and regardless of the platform on which it occurs. Staff may take action based on such conduct even when it occurs entirely outside of Mineshore's platforms at an Administrator's discretion
1.2 Threatening any player or staff member is prohibited.
1.3 Content that encourages, glorifies, normalizes, or trivializes self-harm, suicide, or harm to others is strictly not allowed.
1.4 Harassment, targeting, or repeated provocation of any player or staff member is unacceptable.
1.5 Toxic, hostile, demeaning, or disruptive behavior directed at players, staff, or the server itself is not tolerated. This includes behavior that falls short of an explicit rule violation but is clearly intended to provoke, belittle, or degrade the community experience.
1.6 Racist, sexist, homophobic, discriminatory, hateful language, symbols, imagery, usernames, skins, or capes are strictly prohibited, regardless of intent or context.
1.7 Attempting to evade or bypass the chat filter is against the rules and is punishable.
1.8 Discussions of a highly political, religious, or otherwise socially sensitive nature, including jokes referencing such topics, are not permitted. This applies regardless of the position taken and is intended to preserve a neutral, welcoming environment for all members.
2.1 Repeated or excessive spam including command spam are prohibited, as is encouraging or instructing others to do so.
2.2 Sending an excessive number of links, including shortened or redirect links is not allowed.
2.3 Content creators may share one Mineshore-related stream or video per five-minute period. This applies exclusively to content directly concerning Mineshore and does not extend to self-promotion of unrelated content on third-parties.
2.4 Advertising other Minecraft servers, Discord communities, invite links, IP addresses, or similar promotions is prohibited across all Mineshore platforms.
3.1 All content across Mineshore platforms must remain suitable for a general audience (PG-13). Explicit content, nudity, excessive violence or gore is prohibited under all circumstances.
3.2 All shared links must be safe, relevant, and appropriate. Malicious or inappropriate websites are strictly prohibited, including when these are hidden behind a shortened or disguised URL.
3.3 Download links may not be shared anywhere on the network, including in-game, on Discord, or on the forums, regardless of the file's purpose or safety.
3.4 Nicknames, usernames, skins, and capes must remain appropriate at all times. They must not contain offensive, discriminatory, or sexually suggestive content.
4.1 Deceiving or misleading another player for personal gain at their expense including scams involving items, currency, real-money trading, account trading, or chargebacks is strictly prohibited.
Mineshore staff reserve the right to interpret and enforce these Guidelines at their discretion, and to update them at any time without prior notice. Continued participation in the Mineshore community constitutes acceptance of the current version of these Guidelines.
